The Night Agent - Episode 8 Summary & Recap

Becoming allies

In a flashback, we found out that Matteo Worley was actually Colin’s twin brother. After Colin failed to set the metro bomb off at the right place, Wick ordered that Colin be killed. However, his men accidentally killed Matteo instead. So, Colin took Matteo’s ID and began living as Matteo.

Erik and Chelsea got hold of Peter and Rose. Both Peter and Rose managed to slightly convince Erik and Chelsea about their innocence, especially when Peter gave them information about Colin, which Erik and Chelsea knew as Matteo, their prime suspect behind Maddie’s kidnapping. Nevertheless, the two Secret Service agents still kept Peter and Rose handcuffed as they explore their leads on Colin. They got to a storage that Colin had preciously rented and found files on Maddie’s movement, indicating that he had long planned this.

Meanwhile, Colin sent a video of Maddie to Wick. In the video, Maddie asked her father to confess about his involvement in the metro bombing, else she would be killed. Wick and Diane knew Ashley Redfield would do anything for his daughter, and so they decided not to show him the video.

Maddie eventually managed to dig further through the hole and found a code R142 and heard some train sounds. By that time, her father had not responded to Colin’s demands, making Colin very frustrated. Maddie told him that Wick might not have given her father the video, because Wick would be implicated. She then asked Colin to send a pleading video to her father using her own words. In actual fact, she sent a video with a code and gave Colin Chelsea’s number instead.

Operation saving Maddie

When Maddie’s video reached Chelsea, Chelsea and Peter had split up from Erik and Rose as Erik needed to get more info about the storage. Peter helped Chelsea decode Maddie’s video and together with Colin’s employment history, they narrowed the area to D.C. Container Depot. Without hesitation, Peter and Chelsea headed there and Chelsea radioed Erik to meet them there. Unfortunately, Ellen was tailing Erik.

At the same time, Maddie managed to get hold of the light wires and broke free. When Chelsea and Peter arrived at the container depot, Chelsea gave Peter a gun so that they could go looking for Maddie. Their movements alerted Colin who went back to get Maddie, but Maddie managed to stab him and ran away. Desperate, Colin shot at the young girls and the gunfire alerted Chelsea, Peter and Erik who had arrived. He missed his shot though.

Chelsea eventually got hold of Maddie and Peter tackled Colin to the ground and handcuffed him. However, soon after, they were attacked by a sniper. Ellen was at the top of a nearby tower shooting at them. She quickly shot Colin and Maddie’s leg. As Chelsea tried to help Maddie get away, Peter and Erik took turns taking their shot at Ellen.

In the battle, Erik got shot. Then, before Ellen knew it, Rose who was supposed to wait in the car, arrived at the top of the tower and pushed Ellen down to her death. Erik died from that fatal shot.
